The number of technical and slang terms used in the guitar world is frankly mind boggling and a newcomer would be forgiven for not knowing what a wammy bar or pancake body actually is (both sound like food and unfortunately neither are). This is not helped by the occasional misuse of words with different meanings becoming common place (we’re looking at you tremolo/vibrato).
