The Fishman Fluence Modern Humbucker Pickups have a unique construction that produces a very consistent pickup free from hum with unrivalled clarity and response. This set includes one alnico and one ceramic magnet loaded pickup each with two selectable voice settings.

Modern Humbucker Alnico:
All the musicality, power and explosiveness of alnico with full chords and fluid solos, plus a voice you've never heard in a humbucker, commonly used as the neck pickup of the set. Voice 1 is an active style sound, full, round and boosted but with unprecedented articulation and dynamics. Voice 2 is a passive style sound, a clean, crisp neck humbucker tone you've always wanted without the thin, plinky sound you don't.

Modern Humbucker Ceramic:
Cutting ceramic attack, brutal active aggression and passive punch in the same guitar, commonly used as the bridge pickup of the set. Voice 1 is an active style sound, crisp, searing crunch, tight bass and no mud. Voice 2 is a passive style sound, organic, high output, superb distortion characteristics with dynamics and response.

The Fluence pickups are made by 'printing' the coil on to layers of circuit board instead of winding a length of wire around a bobbin thousands of times, this removes any inconsistencies in the wire size, number of winds or the winding pattern around the bobbin, producing consistent, dependable pickups with no change in output or tone between sets, no need to worry about finding the perfect set. The on board preamp provides two switchable voices (selectable via the included push/pull potentiometer but can be wired in to a switch or hardwired to just one voice), no treble loss when turning the volume down or using long cable runs (this can be wired to a push/pull or toggle switch to provide a darker sound they call a 'HF Tilt' option), a gain wiring option to reduce the level of voice 1 by 6 dB and also solder tabs are provided on the back of the pickup to allow for true coil splitting (these need to be manually wired to a switch, not included in the quick connect system).

The Fishman Fluence Modern Humbucker Pickups set features their solderless quick connect system for quick and easy installation, it comes with everything you need including two 25k volume potentiometers and two push/pull 25k tone pots (for the voice and HF Tilt switch), stereo output jack, battery connector and all required connector wires.
