This Hosco Stainless Steel Medium Fretwire is a more durable and longer lasting alternative to nickel silver frets and has a smoother, slinkier feel when playing, especially during bending. This particular size is labelled as medium by Hosco but the size is very close to what Fender call medium jumbo (same height but slightly narrower), please check the measurements carefully. The frets have a 2.5 mm binding notch at each end, here the fret tang is cut away leaving only the crown for easy installation over fretboard binding (these can be installed on guitars without binding, just seal the fret ends along the edge of the fretboard as you would normally). The fretwire comes pre cut in a pack of 24 pieces and curved to a 10" radius for easy installation, please note that each fret is cut sequentially to a fretboard taper of 43.5 mm at the nut and 53.5 mm at the 12th fret so these will fit a standard Fender Stratocaster and Gibson Les Paul but cannot be used on guitars with a wider fretboard (e.g. 7 string guitars).
