This CTS 500K Audio Taper Short Shaft Potentiometer is great for Stratocaster and Telecaster style guitars that feature a humbucker pickup, the short shaft is useful when mounting to scratchplates or control plates to ensure the knobs do not sit too high above the body (for rear mounting through body wood we have regular length or long length pots for Gibson Les Paul guitars available separately). The 500 K Ohms resistance gives a brighter tone and traditionally used for humbucking pickups.

CTS potentiometers are renowned for their high quality and are widely used as controls for guitar electronics. Both the 3/8" imperial threaded shaft and knob mounting shaft are made from durable brass and it has fine 24 spline mounting for imperial sized knobs. To use metric knobs that have a set screw (smooth interior, no splines) simply line up the set screw with the split in the shaft and tighten the screw.
