This Hosco Dual Rim Coordinator Rod Set is in the long nut style found on vintage Mastertone banjos, the long nut makes adjustments easier. The rods stabilise the rim and mount the neck, the adjustment nut is only found on the bottom rod to make very minor action adjustments (the rod closest to the strings is not adjustable).
