Description
The Hipshot KickAss Bass Bridge is their version of the famous Leo Quan high mass BadAss II bridge and is a direct replacement upgrade for Fender 5 hole mount Precision or Jazz style bass bridges. The saddles run in channels to remove any unwanted side to side movement and are individually intonatable and height adjustable. The brass saddle inserts can be moved to adjust the string spacing from 17.5 mm to 20 mm per string (0.687" to 0.8") for better string, pickup and neck alignment and two tall inserts are also included to give a higher action if required. We also stock Hipshot stainless steel saddle insert sets as a separate item if you wish to brighten the tone of the bridge over the brass inserts installed. The top loading strings mount through the back of the bridge for quick and easy restringing.

Great replacement. With some notes.
I used this KickAss bridge to replace another hipshot bridge, but not a BadAss type.
I was aware i have to drill new fixing holes. Thats. Fine. However i was hoping to use the original base plate and replace only the saddles. Unfortunately these saddles are slightly wider than the other ones were. This means that i lost the option for feed the string through the body. Not a big deal to be honest.
The item is made from good quality materials. The installation and setup was straight forward.
The KickAss bridge comes with additional shorter screws and springs for intonation. This is a great little addition.
I just wish the screws and springs were black as on my original bridge.
All in all a great replacement and/or upgrade.
