This left handed Gotoh GE1996T is their take on the Floyd Rose double locking tremolo and is considered one of the best tremolos available, with ultimate tuning stability provided by the locking nut, locking saddles and fine tuners. This bridge features steel saddles for clarity and response with a brighter tone than brass, they feature a slightly curved top to provide hand comfort while playing. The studs can be locked into their body anchors to give the most transmission of sound to the body. The tension holding the tremolo arm can be adjusted via a set screw in the bridge. The GE1996T comes with a 33 mm deep brass sustain block ensure universal fit and maximum tremolo range. Full bridge system includes a locking nut, locking studs and bushings, string retainer bar, tremolo arm, springs, spring claw and screws.

Very High Quality Tremolo
Bought this to replace a Floyd Rose Special on a Jackson Soloist - the improvements are vast. Overall quality, tuning stability and durability seem to be far superior. The Gotoh also has identical knife edge spacing, so will drop right into the existing recess. For this reason I didn't use the included posts to avoid drilling holes into the guitar but it seems to work fine regardless. It's worth noting that the screws at the back are about 5mm longer on this than on similar Floyd Rose systems, so if your guitar has a recessed tremolo like mine make sure it fits properly otherwise you'll either have to enlarge the recess or buy shorter screws / use Floyd ones. Overall would highly recommend, shipping was fast and everything arrived well packaged. Considering this thing is less than half the price of an original FR I don't think it can be beaten on value!
